Worn tires are a safety hazard. The minimum legal tread depth is 2/32 of an inch, but safety experts recommend replacing tires at 4/32 inches. Use the penny test: insert a penny into the tread with Lincoln's head upside down. If you can see the top of his head, your tires need replacement. Look for cracks, bulges, or uneven wear patterns. Regular inspections catch problems early.
